1. What Wovelin is

Wovelin helps you log food, workouts, supplements and weight, and estimates your energy balance. It is a self-tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Who we are: Wovelin is currently a personal, non-commercial project run by a small team of individuals based in California, USA. "Wovelin", "we" and "us" mean the people who run it. If we form a company to run Wovelin, these Terms will transfer to it and we will tell you.

2. Health disclaimer

Wovelin provides tools to record and review food, exercise, weight and related information. All content, including scores, targets, estimates, coaching tips and nutrition data, is for general information only. It is not medical, nutritional or health advice, and it is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified professional. Using Wovelin does not create a doctor-patient or dietitian-client relationship. Never ignore professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in Wovelin. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

3. Accuracy of information

Nutrition data comes from public databases, third parties and users, and may contain errors. Calorie burn and other estimates are calculations based on the data you provide and are approximate. Data from connected devices may be incomplete or delayed. Please double-check anything important before relying on it, especially ingredients and allergens.

4. Your choices

You decide whether to use Wovelin and how to act on what it shows. Diet, fasting and exercise carry some risk, including injury, so go at a pace that is right for you. To the extent permitted by law, you accept those risks.

5. Your account

Please keep your sign-in details private. Activity under your account is treated as yours, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

6. Who can use Wovelin

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. Wovelin is not intended for children under 13.

7. Your health data

You own the data you log or sync from connected devices. We store it to provide the service and to sync it between the app and wovelin.net, and we never sell it. You can export it at any time. You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my account) or by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If you share your log with another person, they can view it read-only. You can revoke access at any time. People you share with cannot edit your entries.

9. Connected devices and services

When you connect a third-party device or service, its own terms also apply. We only read the categories you approve, and you can disconnect at any time. We can't control, and don't guarantee, the accuracy or availability of third-party devices and services.

10. Offline use and sync

Entries you make offline are stored on your phone until they sync. Uninstalling the app before syncing can lose those entries.

11. No warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOVELIN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT WOVELIN WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOVELIN AND ITS OWNERS, TEAM MEMBERS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, HEALTH OUTCOMES OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, WOVELIN. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before you continue using the app.

14. Free during early access; pricing later

Wovelin is free during early access. We may start charging for Wovelin, or for parts of it, in the future, including features that are free today. We will tell you in advance, and we will never charge you without your clear, separate agreement. Any paid plan will show its price, renewal terms and how to cancel before you sign up.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where the law where you live gives you protections that can't be waived.

16. How we contact you

We email you about your account and the service, for example invites, sign-in links, password resets and important changes to these Terms. Tips, product news and updates are sent only if you opt in, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link. We will not send you text or chat messages (SMS, RCS, WhatsApp) unless you separately agree to them.
